How much are your pneumatic cylinders actually costing you?

Electric Actuators vs. Pneumatic Cylinders

Rockwell Automation has electric cylinders that can perform better than your pneumatic for less money.  Pneumatic systems waste money through leaks and needing constant energy to keep compressed air.  Electric cylinders have a lower total cost of ownership by decreasing down time, decreasing maintenance, and drastically decreasing energy costs.

You might think your pneumatic cylinders are working well, but how much money are you losing to scrap?

Electric actuators are 300x more accurate and 25x more repeatable.

Is your electric bill too high?

A single 1/16” leak in your pneumatic system can cost you $594 a year (at 100psig) and a 1” leak can cost you $150,000 per year.  Electric actuators eliminate this cost and achieve efficiencies upwards of 80% compared to 10-30% of pneumatic cylinders.

Are downtime and maintenance costing you?

Electrical actuators have less components that can wear and tear resulting in less regular maintenance.  They also have longer working lives and deteriorate very little in efficiency over time.

On top of this, electric cylinders can easily coordinate motion with several axis and cut down on changeover time between product recipes.

These will save you money!  Talk to your Motion Control Technical Consultant to find out what kind of savings and extra value you can be adding to your company.
